
After establishment of the company in 1989, the Kakegawa
Factory was planned, construction completed and operations implemented
with new facilities and productions lines. Following that, business
and management policies were changed to enable us to actualize operations
that focussed on both indoor and outdoor environments. After applying
new strategies and introducing TPM form the standpoint of aiming to
become the best lamp factory in the world, OSRAM-MELCO Ltd. received
the Award for TPM Excellence-First Category in 1999. Also, in 2001,
OSRAM MELCO Ltd. received the Award for Excellence in Consistent TPM
commitment-First Category. In 1997, the factory received consecutive
certifications for ISO 14001 and 9001.
